Placement
Students who intend to enroll in language courses and who have previous knowledge of the target language (as heritage speakers or from formal study) must take a placement test to determine proficiency level. (A heritage speaker is someone who was exposed to Lithuanian at home, but was educated primarily in English.)
Lithuanian does not offer an online placement test; instead, students should contact Prof. Giedrius Subačius via email at subacius@uic.edu to schedule a placement test.
