Ill-Born: Modernist Polish Architecture Under Communism

On Tuesday, November 5th, beginning at 6:30pm, The Hejna Family Chair in Polish Language and Literature, in partnership with the School of Art and Art History, will host the opening of Filip Springer’s photographic exhibit. In his work, Filip Springer captures iconic images of modern architecture in Poland during Communism. The exhibit will be on display in the Richard J. Daley Library, on UIC’s campus. The artist will be present, wherein he will give a brief talk about his project, take questions and engage in discussion with the audience about his subject matter. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
