Lithuanian Tuition Award

Tuition Award for Lithuanian Language Courses Heading link

Students who intend to study or are already studying Lithuanian Language at UIC may apply for a scholarship that will approximately cover their tuition for the Lithuanian language courses at UIC.

The amount of the scholarship is $2,000 for one academic year (about $1,000 per semester).

  1. To apply, a student has to register for one Lithuanian language course (either LITH 101, LITH 102, LITH 103, LITH 104).
  2. To receive the scholarship, an applicant has to be in good academic standing and receive at least a B grade in a Lithuanian Language class he/she attends.

After the student passes the final exam for a semester and receives at least a B grade for the course, UIC will directly transfer $1,000 so the student’s tuition account.

(Note: The award will be transferred at the end of the semester.)

  2. One recommendation by a professor or other educator that the applicant was studying with (at UIC or elsewhere).
  3. Applicant’s personal statement about the motives to study Lithuanian.
