The Last Chance' is a postartistic festival devoted to new ways of spending time, knowledge-making and sharing, experimenting with cross-disciplinary research, activist and collaborative practices of anthropocenic humanities and arts.
This year's edition (Oct 10-14) will take place at the campus, by Lake Michigan and Wild Mile Chicago - a mile-long floating park located on the North Branch Canal of the Chicago River.
Among the events - walks on the wild side (sensory, audio and herbal walks with among others - Rachel Havrelock), Walk About It, film screenings, Boring Drug concert & DJ set by Vesolo, experimental, cross-disciplinary conference "Sink or Swim" (with among others - Michał Paweł Markowski, Julia Vaingurt, Janek Sowa, Ralph Cintrón, Teresa Córdova), landscape fieldwork exercises (by Ömür Harmanşah), open-class with one of the greatest independent film director in the U.S. - Deborah Stratman, workshops on DIY survival strategies in the late capitalism & more.
