Professor Markowski has published a second, expanded, and newly prefaced edition of his book, Polish Modern Literature, first published in 2007. It is a comprehensive, 600-page monograph on three major Polish  writers, Leśmian, Schulz, and Witkiewicz, framed as a monograph on this branch of Polish Modern literature, which Markowski calls Critical Modernism. The book, written as a whole rather than as a collection of articles, imposes an original vision of Polish literature of the first three decades of the 20th century.

Congratulations, Professor Markowski!
